Our customers are delighted to hear we don’t charge anything to visit your site and put together a quote for your marquee. This is all part of the service with The Party Tent Company.

It is all very simple to hire a marquee with us. If the order is for less than £500 we ask for a £100 deposit and a 25% deposit for any orders over £500. The remainder of the balance is then payable on the day the marquee is delivered.

You don’t need grass to put up a marquee. They can be installed just as well on all kinds of surfaces including concrete. If you are not sure about the suitability of the site for a marquee, let us know and we will be happy to come out and survey the site for free. Erecting your marquee on concrete means it will be necessary to use heavy weights to pin down and anchor the structure. This will make it as secure as erecting it on grass.

We sometimes get calls from customers who say they would prefer a marquee to a party tent. What we can tell you is a party tent is actually another name for a marquee. Much of the confusion lies in what people from different countries refer to them as. In the UK most people will be more familiar with ‘marquee’ whereas some people will prefer to call them party tents. Either way they will still be the same type of tent that allows you to host an event or a party.

To make sure everything goes smoothly, we like to allow plenty of time for everything to be set up prior to your event. While erecting the marquee itself will be done quickly and efficiently by our team, time should also be allowed for setting up the event, installing dance floors, bars, seating and so on. We recommend arriving 2 days before for most events but if you think your event will take longer to prepare than this we can discuss this with you. As soon as you have finished with the marquee we’ll be back within one or 2 days to dismantle your marquee.

This is where our free site visit will help. During our visit we’ll take measurements and find out how many guests you will be accommodating. For your peace of mind we have provided marquees for many events over the years and we will ensure your marquee will be big enough for your event. It is also advisable to allow some additional space if extra guests turn up. It is always better to have a marquee that is a little bit bigger than you need rather than smaller.
